World Chocolate Day
The 4th and 5th-grade students celebrated World Chocolate Day with love and sweet treats. They learned that chocolate was introduced to Europe in 1550, and since then, July 7th has been dedicated to celebrating this delectable delight. The first World Chocolate Day took place in 2009.
Mrs. Joshila, their enthusiastic educator, shared the fascinating process of chocolate formation. From its liquid form to solidifying, chocolates have captivated our taste buds throughout history.
Beyond its deliciousness, chocolate offers potential health benefits, particularly for the heart, thanks to its antioxidant properties. The students showcased their knowledge by presenting facts about the three main types of chocolate: white, milk, and dark. One student took the lead in enlightening her classmates about the softness of white chocolate compared to milk chocolate and the essential vitamins and minerals found in these cocoa treats.
To conclude the celebration, the students danced and sang with the tune rhythmically stating – "our friendship is as sweet as chocolate it would keep us close for long with its sweet taste and flavour- Happy Chocolate Day.
Dance choreography was done by Sngv educator Mrs. Swati Sharma with a helping hand from Mrs.Falguni Gandhi. The beautiful moments were captured by Mrs. Sarita Nair and Mrs.Dipti Shukla.
