International Chess Day
🌟 International Chess Day Celebration at SNGV!
🌟 "Life is like a game of chess. To win, you must make informed moves, gained through insights and knowledge from accumulated lessons."
On 17th July, SNGV students of 4th and 5th grade celebrated this intellectually stimulating day. Chess, the gymnasium of the mind, is taught every Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. for grades 4th to 8th. Mrs. Swati Sharma, the educator, highlighted chess's objective: to checkmate the opponent's king by exploiting weaknesses strategically. Pawns, the soul of the game, were gracefully displayed by students. Each chess piece introduced itself, explaining its moves on the black and white board. It was heartwarming to witness how this game transcends barriers of class, language, and culture.
Kudos to Mrs. Swati Sharma and Mrs. Joshila for coordinating this insightful event, captured beautifully by Mrs. Sarita F Nair and Mrs. Deepti Shukla.♟️
