International Tiger Day
International Tiger Day is celebrated on July 29 every year. The main aim behind this day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues.
The tiger is the national animal of India. India is home to over half of the world’s wild tigers, an estimated 2,226.
SNGVIans of grade 6 were also resolute about spreading the message 'Let's keep tigers in jungle, not in history ' through the medium of a small drama.To make it more impressive they dolled up themselves as tigers .They also said aloud slogans for 'Save The Tiger' theme.
